A high school lacrosse coach, who twice sold cocaine on the street and had drugs in his home within reach of his 2-year-old son pleaded guilty Thursday to drug and child endangerment charges,.
Edward John Jeziorski III, 31, faces up to three years in prison but will probably get probation when he is sentenced June 29 by Judge Kathleen Lewi, reported the North County Times. Jeziorski, a former Westview High School coach, had no previous criminal record. He pleaded guilty to two counts of felony sale of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of child endangerment.
His fiancee, Brandi Rochelle Linn, pleaded guilty to maintaining a residence where drugs were sold and misdemeanor child endangerment.
Deputy District Attorney Michael Zachry said Jeziorski sold drugs first to a person working with police and later to an undercover officer. A search of his Pacific Beach home turned up 20 grams of cocaine, hashish, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia, some of it within reach of the toddler.
"We believe the 2-year-old had access to the area where the narcotics were kept," Zachry said after the arrest earlier this month.
Poway Unified School District officials said Jeziorski was a walk-on coach this year. They also said he passed a drug test and fingerprint background clearance.
