Man Shot Multiple Times on Pala Indian Reservation

A man was shot and killed while sitting in a car on the Pala Indian Reservation Monday, San Diego County Sheriff's Deputies said.

Someone reported the shooting just after midnight. When deputies arrived, they found a person dead near the corner of 2nd Street and Apapas Road, south of Pala Mission Road. 

They say the man, identified as 56 years old, was sitting in his car when he was shot multiple times by someone outside of the car. 

The location is just north of State Route 76 and approximately a block away from a charter school. 

No other details were released by SDSO officials.
