The Aztecs had a few issues with their non-conference schedule. But once they got back in to the Mountain West they've been demolishing everyone they face.
San Diego State beat Wyoming 38-3 on Saturday night at Qualcomm Stadium. Quarterback Maxwell Smith threw three touchdown passes, two of them to Micah Holder, but as always the Aztecs relied on defense and the run game.
SDSU sacked Cowboys quarterback Cameron Coffman five times and intercepted him twice, allowing just 192 yards of total offense.
Running back Chase Price nearly matched that on his own. Price ran 17 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Fellow back Donnel Pumphrey went for 140 yards on 29 carries. As a team the Aztecs ran for a ridiculous 293 yards.
The Aztecs are now officially bowl eligible and with one more win, either on the road against UNLV or at home against Nevada, SDSU will get a spot in the MWC Championship Game for the first time.
