Firefighters rushed to a home in El Cajon after it caught on fire. It happened early Thursday morning around 12:30 a.m. on Gustavo Street. Firefighters say they had a hard time battling the flames because there seemed to be a hoarding situation in the home. This made it difficult to move throughout the home and put out hard to reach spots.
The first floor of the home was badly damaged, and one person was taken to the hospital. Firefighters are now investigating what started the fire.
