Rain is falling around San Diego County - unexpectedly. None of the computer models picked up the chance of showers other than in the mountains, but there have been some isolated sprinkles and a few widely scattered showrs moving across the area this afternoon and we could see more of the same through the early evening.
So far, very little measureable precipitation has fallen, just a couple of hundredths here and there. With all this sub-tropical moisture moving about however, there is the chance some of the showers could bring some brief, heavy downpours especially in the foothills and mountains.
At this time there are no thunderstorms predicted.
