Suspicious Man Arrested After Harassing High School Girls

Suspect Daniel Hubbard is accused in several incidents

Police have arrested a La Mesa man suspected of following and harassing girls on their way to school.

Daniel Hubbard is a suspect in several incidents, according to authorities with the La Mesa Police Department.

The first happened May 9th in El Cajon when a man was seen following two girls walking to Grossmont High. He asked them multiple times if they wanted a ride to school. At one point he yelled at them to get into his van, and the victims ran away.

On Wednesday, he was seen following a girl on her way to Helix High. Police say he got out of the truck, and walked with her, saying sexual comments and grabbing her left forearm. The victim pulled back and slapped Hubbard's hand. before she ran away.

Hubbard is being booked on charges of attempted kidnapping, child annoying and false imprisonment.
