Smoke from a 200 acre prescribed burn is expected to be visible in the county for several days.
Firefighters will be conducting the prescribed burn Tuesday to Saturday in Rancho Corte Madera, southwest of Pine Valley, according to Cal Fire.
The prescribed burn is part of a Vegetation Management Burn plan.
“This burn is being conducted to provide a fuel break to help protect the surrounding communities,” said Capt. Mike Mohler.
Burning was expected to start at 8 a.m. and finish at 5 p.m.
