Scuba Diver Transported to Hospital

The person had issues breathing, according to officials

San Diego lifeguards reported to a call of a scuba diver that had breathing problems near the shore of Coast Boulevard in La Jolla, according to officials.

The call was received shortly after 11 a.m. on Tuesday when the 14-year-old female diver allegedly had issues with aspiration.

It was the girl's first time diving, according to officials. She has since been transported to the hospital.
