Party Ends With Multiple Stabbings

A San Marcos house party ended in the death of one teenager who deputies found lying fatally wounded in the driveway.

Six people at were stabbed when a large fight broke out inside the home at 458 South Rancho Santa Fe Road, according to San Diego County sheriff’s deputies.

When deputies arrived just after 3:00 a.m. a crowd of about 80 teenagers were leaving the party. They sent deputies and paramedics to the driveway where they found a 17-year old man who had been stabbed. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, deputies said.

Early reports indicate that the party began about 10:00 p.m. that when the party was ending, a large fight broke out inside the home, according to the deputies news release.

Later in the morning, five other people went to area hospitals with stab wounds. Two of those were admitted. Deputies believe those stabbing victims are connected to the South Rancho Santa Fe Road fight.

Investigators the argument and stabbing may be tied to gang members who attended the party.
