A brush fire sparked in El Cajon Thursday evening, officials said.
The blaze began around 6:20 p.m. at East Bradley Avenue, just east of State Route 67.
Heartland Fire officials rushed to the scene and began tackling the flames. Fire officials said the blaze was burning at a slow rate of speed in a brush-filled area that's difficult to access. Crews cornered the fire both by ground and air, and were able to knock it down.
No structures or homes were threatened, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
