EPA Investigation Reveals Kiddy Porn

Federal agents jailed a North County man Friday on suspicion of receiving and distributing child pornography with his personal computers.

David Michael Grummer,43, of Oceanside was under investigation for allegedly using the Internet to distribute federally banned pesticides, including DDT and Chlordane, and committing various violations involving storage and disposal of hazardous materials, said FBI spokesperson Darrell Foxworth.

While scrutinizing computer hard drives seized from Grummer as part of that probe, investigators found child pornography stored in the data banks, said Foxworth.

In July, authorities say they confiscated more of Grummer's computer equipment from his home and found out that he had been receiving and distributing sexually explicit material involving minors while awaiting sentencing in the earlier case.

Grummer was booked into Metropolitan Correctional Center in downtown San Diego. He is expected to appear before a federal judge on Monday.
