1 Stabbed in Logan Heights: SDPD

A man was stabbed in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego Tuesday night when he tried to help an acquaintance being beaten by three men on the street, police said.

The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) said the 23-year-old victim was in the 2000 block of National Avenue, near Chicano Park, just after 9:30 p.m. when he saw three men beating one of his acquaintances. The victim intervened, and the suspect ran away southbound on Dewey Street.

After the fight, police said the victim realized he had been stabbed. The victim showed up a market with a stab wound to the neck and head area. The victim’s injuries were considered to be non-life threatening.

A knife and clothes were found on the street, police said. There was no description of the suspects. 

The stabbing is under investigation.
