IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. -- A decomposed body washed ashore in Imperial Beach near the California-Mexico border after heavy rains.
San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Anthony Ray said the man's body was discovered Tuesday morning without any clothes or belongings. Ray said it is unclear if the man had been trying to cross the border illegally.
The Border Patrol reported that another man was rescued while trying to cross the Tijuana River Monday night. Agency spokesman Mark Endicott said the man was in a group of eight who were sneaking across the border into San Diego. The other seven were arrested.
