8 Horses Rescued from Trailer in North County

Eight horses were rescued from a trailer stuck along a North County driveway Monday night.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. last night when a truck towing the horses stopped at a Shell Gas Station on Via De La Valle, police said.

As the truck entered the driveway, the trailer became stuck on the incline. The horses had to be removed from the trailer in order to maneuver it from the driveway.

While the driver and his horses waited, a bystander ran to a nearby Denny’s to get carrots for the horses.

After hours of work, the truck was able to back down the driveway.
