The number of San Diego Gas and Electric customers without power Sunday was downgraded to just 328 in the San Diego area.
Earlier in the day, at 12:41 p.m., a report on the SDG&E website had nearly 600 customers without power and another 228 customers affected in the Orange County area.
As of 2:45 p.m., affected communities had their restoration extended.
SDG&E officials reported 288 Customers in Center City, Balboa Park and Golden Hills were without service after an outage began at 12:41 p.m. An initial estimate on the SDG&E website said power should be returned at 5.pm. An earlier report said the outage affected 545 customers and they were to regain power at 1:41 p.m.
The cause of the outage was attributed to overhead electrical lines or equipment.
No status change was made in the San Clemente and Talega as of 2:45 p.m., where 228 customers were still without power since about 9 a.m. Power should be restored to those customers at 6 p.m., officials said.
At 6:30 a.m., officials reported the power was down for 40 customers in the area of Old Town, Mission Hills and Hillcrest and that they should regain service by 6 p.m.

Both outages were being blamed on a combination of factors concerning the underground electrical cable or equipment, according to the SDG&E website.
The outages come days after a region-wide blackout that city officials, locals and businesses into the dark for a few hours on Thursday afternoon into Friday.
