A multiple vehicle crash caused a traffic jam around National City during Tuesday's commute.
The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near 28th Street, just before the Coronado Bridge.
The California Highway Patrol said traffic backed up for three or four miles into the South Bay. At one point, traffic was at a complete standstill. It remained slow-going for the rest of the morning.

Several people were treated for minor injuries at the scene, but no one was taken to the hospital, according to police.
