Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 16

Sting and Shaggy head up a jam-packed night of great live music around town

When I first heard that Shaggy and Sting were recording and touring together, it made no sense to me at all. Then I thought about the early days of the Police with those reggae-influenced vibes, and it started to seem reasonable. Tonight, the two icons play at Harrah's Resort SoCal, so decide for yourself if the pairing works. Meanwhile, former Barcelona frontman Brian Fennell is now SYML and opener Dizzy is like a more indie Lorde. Mason Jennings returns for his annual trek to the Belly Up, and Tower Bar has a killer lineup for those looking for a harder edge with DFMK and our buddies Demasiado and Western Settings. Tuesdays can sometimes be on the sparse side, but that's not the case tonight so get out and catch some tunes.
