I used to have some friends who had a lot in common but couldn't agree on one thing: which At the Drive-In offshoot, Sparta or the Mars Volta, was the better band? And does it matter anymore, now that At the Drive-In is back and released "in•ter a•li•a" to critical praise? Tonight, see the band live at SOMA as well as Le Butcherettes. Meanwhile, a couple different '90s bands are where it's at when Fuel and Marcy Playground play the Belly Up. Minneapolis alt-rockers the Gravities play Soda Bar, local "fuzz rockers" Amigo headline a local night at Casbah, and Blonde features tons of local musicians in a tribute to the Pixies.
