Today is St. Patrick's Day, and if you've grown up in San Diego or spent any time here, you know that there is nothing that is more fitting for the occasion than a show with the Downs Family. For more than 25 years, the band has played their punky Irish music, endearing legions of audiences long before everyone else was doing it. Of course, you can also celebrate St. Paddy's with ShamROCK downtown, the Fooks at Holding Company, or Lexington Field at Rosie O'Grady's. If you're just looking for great live music, Xiu Xiu plays A Ship In the Woods, Julieta Venegas returns to the House of Blues, and the Observatory hosts a show with Dance Gavin Dance.
