Every year, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association names its preseason All-American team. There are 19 members of this exclusive team. This year, two of them are San Diegans.
Aztecs starter Stephen Strasburg and Toreros closer A.J. Griffin are both juniors who made the cut. Strasburg is the most dominant starting pitcher in all of college baseball. Most scouts think he'll be the number one pick in June's Major League Baseball Draft. Griffin is a strikeout machine who already owns USD's school record for career saves. He should also be a first round pick.
