When Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford said he'd love to go to Detroit, it was strange to hear just because in the NFL, no one wants to go to Detroit.
But when you start thinking about how next month's NFL Draft is likely to play out, you realize why Stafford needs to do all he can to convince the Lions to take him: If the Lions don't make Stafford the first overall pick, he could easily fall out of the top half of the first round.
