As usual, Side Bar saw an overflow of patrons on Wednesday night, but it wasn’t just industry folks coming out to play on their night off. Last night, RMD Group—the owners of Side Bar, Fluxx, and new addition F6ix—held a waitressing competition to staff their newest hip hop nightclub, set to open later this month. The girls who wanted to compete for a bottle server position were told to bring in as many people as they could on a Wednesday night, proving that they can pull in business for the new club.
As anyone who’s worked in the Gaslamp bar industry knows, bottle service waitresses make bank. How much bank, you ask? Let’s just say that a weekend of poppin’ bottles in da club probably brings home more than you do in a bi-weekly paycheck. With so many beautiful women vying for the limited number of jobs, we think that making them put their guest list where their mouth is was an excellent idea.
