Angels and Airwaves, Bastille, Stone Temple Pilots Announce New SD Shows

It's that time of year -- when big tour announcements come fast and furious

It's that time of year -- when concert announcements come fast and furious. So much so that we occasionally have a hard time keeping up with all the big news, but fear not music fans, we're here to serve your show-going needs.

First up: On Thursday, May 3, Grammy-nominated indie-pop group Bastille announced a fall North American tour that stops at SDSU's Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The tour coincides with the release of "Doom Days," the band's new studio album set to arrive on June 14. Tickets for the show go on sale to general public on Friday, May 10, at 10 a.m. PST via this link. Pre-sale options are currently on sale (pro tip: use the band's code KOOLAID for early access).

Also on the docket: On Friday morning, grunge-rock mainstays Stone Temple Pilots announced that they're hitting the road yet again for a 2019 tour with blues-rock co-headliner Rival Sons.

Led by the DeLeo brothers, the band's 12-city jaunt wraps up right here in STP's hometown (did you know they got their start in San Diego?) on Wednesday, Oct. 9 -- also at Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre. Tickets are currently on sale at this link (prices start at $15 plus fees).

And last but not least, you might remember that we reported on the return of Tom DeLonge's other band, Angels & Airwaves, earlier in the week. The former Blink-182 co-frontman officially resurrected his anthemic rock group with a new single titled "Rebel Girl" and the announcement of the outfit's first tour in seven years -- which is scheduled to stop at House of Blues on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Well, if you missed out on tickets to that show (it reportedly sold out in 13 minutes), DeLonge just announced the addition of a second show the following night, Oct. 6. Find tickets here (while you can).

As always, the shows keep comin' and comin', so be sure to stay tuned to SoundDiego for all the tour news you can handle.
