Kaaboo Announces Daily Lineups

Kaaboo Del Mar has announced the daily lineups for its 2017 festival

On Tuesday, Kaaboo Del Mar -- the three-day San Diego music, arts, comedy and cuisine festival -- revealed the complete daily lineups for its third annual event, which will take place at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on Sept. 15-17.

The set times seem to be organized in a way that allows patrons to devour as many performances as possible. Even with minimal overlapping times, I may just camp out at the Grandview Stage where I can see DJ “Shaq” Diesel, Smash Mouth, and Kesha without moving a muscle.

My laziness aside, there are some hidden gems scattered throughout the this year’s lineup, too. If you aren’t at work on Friday afternoon, Little Hurricane and Trouble in the Wind are a couple of local San Diego bands to take a peek at before headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, and David Guetta take over later in the evening.

Understandably, Saturday’s lineup may be the most attractive. In all likelihood, it'll be the busiest day of the festival and it doesn’t look like it'll disappoint: Headlining performers include Pink, Muse, Ice Cube, Jane’s Addiction, Logic, Garbage, and the Wallflowers.

Closing out Sunday is classic rock gods Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers -- but if you’re more into the ‘90s nostalgia thing, Alanis Morissette, Live, and Pete Yorn are sure to whet your whistle.

Luckily, if you’ve got three-day passes, you can see them all. If you don't, one- and two-day passes just went on sale at Kaaboo's website, and are priced at $119 and $239, respectively. Three-day passes are still on sale, and start at $299. Of course, prices don't include fees, parking, and delivery costs.
