    Grammy award-winning artists are slated to headline concerts this fall in Rancho Mirage, north of San Diego County near Palm Springs.

    Some of the artists performing for San Diego music fans will be Melissa Manchester, Paul Brown, Gregg Karukas, Michael Paulo and The Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

    The Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert will be part of the 5th annual Cathedral City Hot Air Balloon Festival.

    The BBVD concert on Nov. 16 at The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage. It will be a benefit concert to help raise funds for the American Heart Association.

    Hot air balloons will light up the sky as the concert music fills the air. Tickets range from $40 for general seating to $120 for VIP Seating.

    There are other concerts slated in October including one on Oct. 27.  Paul Brown, Gregg Karukas, featuring the “Midnight blue” singer Melissa Manchester will take the stage at the Masters Plaza.

    Thanksgiving weekend will feature Special EFX, one of the smooth jazz’s elite groups, featuring Chieli Minucci, who made his worldwide debut on the fifth season of American Idol.

    Also, Elliott Yamin, Lao Tizer and “sax and flute virtuoso” Nelson Rangell.

    The last concert of the event held in the celebrity ballroom will be on Dec. 8 featuring saxman Micheal Lington, who has performed for the royal family in his home country of Denmark, has had over 10 solo albums and singles that have charted on Billboard.

    In addition, guitarist Steve Oliver who has a record deeply rooted in contemporary jazz guitar melodies will be alongside Lington. The LA Collective, deemed the hottest new ensemble in smooth jazz, will also be performing with them.

    Dinner packages will be available which include a three-course dinner and seating for the show at the Fireside Lounge patio tables for $99. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
