Celebrities including Alicia Silverstone, Persia White and James Cromwell attended a fundraiser Friday in San Diego.
The event was hosted at the home of Jerry Cesak of radio's Jeff and Jer for "Vote Yes on Proposition 2". Proposition 2 is a ballot measure that would require that animals raised for food be confined in spaces that would allow them enough room to lie down, turn around freely or extend a limb.
Opponents of the measure say it would be too expensive and that cost would be passed on to the consumer.
If Proposition 2 passes, farmers would have until the year 2015 to make the adjustments.
