Tour de Cure Leads the Fight Against Diabetes – May 7th

Celebrating 20 years of success, the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure will take place Saturday, May 7th at the Mira Costa College Cardiff Campus.  Held in 43 states nationwide, the Tour de Cure raises money in support of ADA and their ongoing  fight for a cure for diabetes.  Last year, over 50,000 cyclists in 80 nationwide events raised nearly $17 million for the cause.  With the option of choosing between 4 different routes, riders of all skill levels are welcom to participate and will be supported from start to finish with rest stops, food, and enthusiastic volunteers. 

The American Diabetes Association is the nation’s leading nonprofit charity in support of the fight against diabetes and striving to improve the lives of the millions affected.  The money raised by the Tour de Cure will support nearly 24 million children and adults in the US with diabetes and 57 million with pre-diabetes through the funding of research, informational programs, and advocacy efforts.
