Sounds Like San Diego: Jan. 22

Via Satellite celebrate the release of their last album and the life of their late drummer at the Casbah Tuesday

Via Satellite recently released their latest record, a final effort with Tim Reece, who was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in 2017, giving urgency to recording one final effort. He passed in May of the same year, with the band finishing up what they started resulting in a full length, an EP, and a book with liner notes of Tim's art. It's the first record released by Vinyl Junkies Record Shack and tonight, Via Satellite celebrates the release and the life of their friend a the Casbah (read the SoundDiego writeup on the record here). Around town, legendary actor and singer Kris Kristofferson performs at Balboa Theatre, Trombone Shorty plays another sold-out show at Belly Up, and my tastemaker friends say that Choir Boy at Whistle Stop is a show not to be missed.
