I love a good Wednesday night lineup of music. It's like it's far enough away from last weekend to have caught up on work and sleep and close enough to the upcoming weekend to get a little bit of an early start. Tonight, one of San Diego's own, Greg Laswell, is back in town for the first time in ages. He's bringing a full band, and I'm sure he will give an extra special show for his fans and friends of past and present. Meanwhile, Tim Bluhm of the Mother Hips released a solo record earlier this year that leans more country than his Hips tunes, and tonight, the band plays the Casbah. Once upon a time, John Mayer played the Belly Up, but tonight, he's at Viejas Arena, and he's got no opener on the tour so fans will be in for a long show with two sets to get a taste of all their favorites. Around town, Pinkeye play Bar Pink, Daisy are at Soda Bar the Office has a Ramones tribute night and Jinjer play a sold out show at Brick by Brick.
