I warned you at the beginning of this week that it was gonna be a big one around here, and having to suck up those service charges to get tickets in advance is a hard pill to swallow for some who've coasted on last-minute decisions and/or buying tickets at the door. But if you'd planned ahead, you'd be seeing tonight's Boy Harsher show at the Casbah. If you didn't plan ahead, you can probably still get tickets to Green Leaf Rustlers (featuring Chris Robinson of Black Crowes), or you can catch Elephant Gym at the Music Box. The Ballad of James Lawless is at the Merrow, and the Office has it's monthly emo singalong, Deathcab for Karaoke, with a live band. If you didn't get enough of Shane Hall at last week's San Diego Music Awards, catch him headlining tonight at Bar Pink. Lastly, Alice Phoebe Lou is performing at the Casbah this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. -- the venue was unexpectedly closed last night due to an SDG&E power outage so the show was moved to a Wednesday matinee, the only time and place available for the Casbah and the artist to make the show happen.
