Sounds Like San Diego: September 17

Here's the deal: The Breeders tickets went on presale and the allotment sold out in one minute. The next day, the rest of the tickets went on sale and they sold out in two minutes, give or take. If you don't have tickets, you're not getting into the show on Wednesday. But the good news is that San Diego has other music options to soothe you, including a very special show by the Tree Ring at the Irenic, which is supposedly the last show with this formulation of the band, ever. So if you've been a fan of Joel P West or Joel P. West and the Tree Ring or the Tree Ring, this is your chance to say goodbye to an awesome and inspired San Diego band. Meanwhile, there's a huge local music shindig happening at the House of Blues. Starting at 6 p.m., more than a dozen local acts will play various stages at the House of Blues to honor San Diego Music Award nominees. This is going to be a great night, too, so, yeah, Tte Breeders are awesome, but if you didn't snag a ticket, your Wednesday night isn't without hope.
