Sounds Like San Diego: June 2

SoundDiego photographer Tim Fears will be playing in opening act No Sympathy

Looking through today's listings can be a little overwhelming, so let me break it down for you. Get up early and head to the Casbah for Vinyl Junkies Record Shack. After you've picked through the crates and found your rare gems, head to City Heights to check out the new Jupiter Records and Tapes grand opening. From there, find a lunch spot in Kensington or Normal Heights then stroll along Adams Avenue for Art Around Adams, complete with art and live music in just about every small business along the street. When you've had your fill, get your disco nap in before all the amazing night shows. Whether you're going to the sold-out Dr. Dog show at Observatory, catching Ray and Neko at the Open Air Theatre, or checking out newcomer Curtis Harding and Algiers at the Casbah, you're definitely in for an amazing night. If you haven't solidified your plans, consider checking the awesome Jonah Matranga of the band Far performing at Brick by Brick. They were affected by the Ticketfly outage, so just get your tickets at the door, and catch one of our photographers, Tim Fears, in the opening act No Sympathy. There are a ton of amazing things to catch today, so get out there and enjoy the first Saturday of June.
