Sevdaliza headlines the Observatory North Park Thursday.

I haven't worked at the Observatory North Park for nearly a year and a half, so I have no "inside information," but I'm curious what pre-sale conditions have have been for the venue to offer free tickets to a show. I honestly don't know, I was never a part of that decision-making process -- perhaps they feel that more bodies will sell more booze, but whatever the circumstances, find that free link and check out Sevdaliza tonight. The trip-hop artist is sexy, sensual, unique, and to be sure, won't be a free ticket in the future. If that's not your jam, however, Willie Watson of Old Crow Medicine Show fame, headlines the Casbah with the Midnight Pine playing as a duo (on Feb. 22, no less), our friends in Gloomsday play at Bar Pink, and Blonde hosts its second annual tribute to Jeff Buckley.
