I'm pretty excited about Thursday's show at the Casbah. As the man behind '90s act Pedro the Lion, David Bazan shaped a corner of indie rock that continued even after the band dissolved. Over the years, Bazan has toured extensively, building a loyal fanbase by alternating between live music venues and privately ticketed house shows available to fans on his email list. It has been great to see him switch between the two and the shows just seem to have an extra intimacy because of his fan rapport. On Thursday when he returns to the Casbah, he'll perform Pedro the Lion's Control in its entirety.
