This is a crazy busy and exciting night of music. I know a lot of people who are really bummed not to be holding tickets for Future Islands at the Irenic, and a lot of people who missed out on their chance to get tickets for Lake Street Dive at the North Park Theatre, but there are other great shows to catch that still have tickets available. Benjamin Booker, for example, is an incredible artist who is newer to the scene, is fresh off a tour with Jack White and just released his self-titled debut albums to positive reviews. You can catch him at Soda Bar. Meanwhil, a San Diego mainstay for more than 20 years, Buck-o-Nine, make a rare appearanceon Friday at the Casbah. Trombone Shorty, Midnight Rivals and Amerikan Bear are some of the other great acts that can be seen around town as well.
