RSVP Now: SoundDiego LIVE Gobbles up Seven Grand

SoundDiego LIVE returns as November's hottest party in town -- feasting upon Seven Grand on Nov. 21, with Low Volts and Two Wolves

Thanksgiving is right around the corner -- are you ready to get served? Served a bountiful feast of SoundDiego LIVE awesomeness, that is!

Yep, that’s right -- we’ve set the table for one of the best parties America’s Finest City will ever see. November’s installment of our monthly live-music extravaganza comes courtesy of Seven Grand – situated in the heart of one of San Diego’s hottest spots, North Park – and MC’d by 91X’s radio rock-goddess Robin Roth.

Not only will this popular whiskey bar showcase our beloved Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey  hosted happy hour before the live music hits your earholes, we’ve conspired to bring two of our town’s most rugged, pedal-to-the-metal, throwback rock & roll acts to the stage: Low Volts and Two Wolves.

If you haven’t heard either of them, you’re in for a cornucopia of epic audio proportions, and if you have witnessed these haunting rockabilly/blues-inspired juggernauts in person, then you already know it would be absolute foolishness to miss this free show.

"A cross between Elvis and Evel Knievel, you really have to see Low Volts live to fully experience it," Roth said. "There is nothing else like this is San Diego."

Word is that the Hi-Watts, Low Volts lovely backup singers, will also be putting in an appearance, providing a percussion backdrop with heavy-gauge chain links.

The one man band (whose given name is Tim Lowman) is fresh off a 2013 San Diego Music Award win for Best Blues Album for his most recent record, Oh My Stars, and just returned from recording a new album in Nashville with his other band, Blackout Party. You could definitely say his stars are aligning.

Two Wolves, who will be providing musical support, are the relatively new grease-rock project from Stephen Rey -- best known his band Stephen Rey and the Slicks, and for playing bass in Lady Dottie & the Diamonds. Teaming with Anders Larsson on drums, Rey plays an old acoustic guitar through an amp that literally sounds like it’s about to explode. Doesn’t get much cooler than that.

If that wasn’t enough to get your butts out of your stretchy pants, we’ve tapped two of the hottest buzz bands around right now to compete in our Garage 2 Glory battle-of-the-bands death match: Amerikan Bear vs. Hit Dog Hollar.

"Amerikan Bear incorporate rock & roll with a ‘60s feel to it -- a mixture of psychedelic surf, garage and rhythm & blues,” Roth said. “Hit Dog Hollar have a heavy blues vibe to their sound, and it takes me back to my trips to New Orleans. Either band will be a great for this fueled night of music!”

With a total of three bands scheduled to play, you won't go hungry for music, but you still might get thirsty. Don't worry, we've got you covered: Get to the Office early and you can enjoy a VIP happy hour presented by Jack Daniel's from 7-8 p.m, with gastronomical support from the folks at the San Diego Taco Company.

On the off-chance you enjoy all that delicious whiskey a little too much, we've got you covered there, too. The folks from BeMyDD will be on hand, running a contest where one party guest for our next SoundDiego LIVE will get a free ride.

Don’t be a turkey – RSVP here now!
