"American Idol" star Adam Lambert has allegedly gone from belting out tunes to belting a paparazzo on Miami Beach, and now he may be in trouble with the law.
The 28-year-old singer from Rancho Penasquitos allegedly lashed out at the man Thursday afternoon when the photographer began snapping his picture while Lambert enjoyed a day at the beach.
According to a Miami Beach police report of the incident, filed by the unidentified 38-year-old photographer, Lambert ran at him "in an aggressive manner" and grabbed his backpack where the camera was placed.
The two began fighting, and Lambert "wrestled the victim to the ground forcefully," according to the report, acquired by TMZ. Photos snapped of the incident allegedly show Lambert, dressed in a straw hat, tank top, board shorts and sandals, grappling with the paparazzo with the camera in his hand.
Lambert fled the scene, according to the police report. "The victim didn't sustain any bruises or lacerations," the report said.
The petulant pop singer did take time to update his fans about the incident later, via Twitter.
"Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!" read a tweet on Lambert's Twitter account. After he apparently saw the pics of the fight, a new tweet went up: "Hahha the photos are hilarious !! Lol please everyone forgive me for that hat. - I was attempting a disguise- clearly failed. Hahah."
It's unknown what police action, if any, will be taken.
