Deftones and Chance Make for a Fall to Remember

Deftones throw their second annual festival and Chance the Rapper promotes "The Big Day"

It's a big day: Live Nation just announced that Deftones and Chance the Rapper are returning to San Diego this fall.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, Deftones bring their Petco Park festival back for a second year with Chvrches, Gojira, Jpegmafia, Hum, Youth Code and Brutus in tow.

Last year, Dia De Los Deftones had Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, Future and San Diego's own Rocket From the Crypt fill up the Park in the Park downtown, and it looks like it was a pretty big success, considering the alt-metal band is back for more.

Let's hope there's another good local act on the bill this time around as well.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Sept. 18, Chance the Rapper, fresh off of the release of his new album, "The Big Day," will take over Pechanga Arena.

It's been a couple of years since Chance has given America's Finest City a chance, but his last two U.S. tours have kicked off here at home, so we're not mad about it.

Deftones headline Dia De Los Deftones at Petco Park's Park at the Park on Saturday, Nov. 2, and Chance the Rapper headlines Pechanga Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Get tickets here.
