SORTA SANDAL: Almost in a nod to San Diego fashion lovers, designers have melded booties and sandals to give ankle-height hipness with fresh-air for your tootsies. At Nordstrom, Michael Kors' Carson Sandal ($170) combines patent straps and suede vamps for a unique-looking pump that's hot and cool all at once.

RUFFLED UP: Vests are all over the place right now in a variety of shapes and sizes. While fitted options look great for work, loosen up for going out with Aqua's Leather Racerback Vest ($127). The slight ruffle detail and antiqued snap closures meet soft black leather for edginess day or night. Pick it up at Bloomingdale's.

LB BLOUSE: Little black dresses don't have to be basic to get a lot of play. The 80's Black Polka Dot Lace Blouse ($20) from San Diego's Lynnsrags was fashioned from a vintage black number into a cute structured blouse, but could also be worn as a saucy mini dress. Check out the funky netting and sexy back zipper in her Etsy shop.

BABY CARATS: Mod-styled jewelry will get a lot of play this year, and the 1/2 carat Black Diamond Ring ($354) at JCPenney is an affordable way to bring it home. A square border of black diamonds surrounds a yellow-gold and white diamond center, contrasting beautifully with the sterling silver band. Pick yours up at Fashion Valley Mall and get ready to wear it out.
