NBC 7 San Diegoteamed up with the San Diego Association of Black Journalists to put on a "Pro for Day" workshop.
The workshop, which took place at Southwestern College, allowed students to learn from professional journalists.
The aspiring journalists were able to meet broadcast television, print and online journalists. They also got a hands on experience by covering a mock press-conference with help and guidance from their journalist mentors. Students then worked to turn the story for television, print and online.
Dozens of students participated in the event, which was created by the San Diego Association of Black Journalists.
