Kurt Warner “Disappointed” By Brett Favre Scandal

As Brett Favre continues to fend off questions surrounding his alleged sex-ting scandal, one of his fellow NFL quarterback counterparts has said that he is "disappointed" by the situation.

When Access Hollywood caught up with former NFL MVP Kurt Warner backstage at "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday night, Warner spoke about the controversy.

"Does it ever surprise you anymore when you're hearing stories – unfortunately, like Brett Favre and what he's going through?" Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson asked the athlete. "I know it's greatly disappointing."

"In this day and age, I don't know if you're ever fully surprised, but I think you're disappointed," Warner admitted. "Because so much of what we stand for… is class and respect."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Favre finds himself at the center of new allegations, which claim that while he was a member of the New York Jets in 2008, he allegedly left voicemails and allegedly sent very graphic photos of himself to Jenn Sterger – a Jets sideline reporter at the time. Access has not been able to verify the authenticity of the alleged voicemails or photos.

For Warner – who played 13 years for three different NFL teams in his career, which included two MVP awards and a Super Bowl win with the St. Louis Rams in 1999 – making sure to honor his wife, Brenda, is always something that he said guides his actions.

"Even though we're dancing together, I want to always respect my wife in every area of my life," Warner said of his run on the ABC reality show with "Dancing" partner Anna Trebunskaya.

However, even if the allegations are proven to be untrue, Warner suggested the scandal would leave its mark on Favre's Hall of Fame career.

"I think it's more disappointing than anything because you just want to believe that everybody has those same values. And I'm not saying Brett did anything – I don't know the situation. But anytime these things come up and they tarnish somebody's reputation, you're disappointed by that."

"Is he somebody you'd ever think about reaching out to?" Shaun asked the former NFL star.

"I'm always open to talk to guys like that, but sometimes it's tough to make that first move," Warner said. "But I'm all about talking guys if they reach out to me and say, 'I'm looking for help.' Because if someone is looking for help, they'll usually listen to what you have to say, so I'm always open to those situations."
