Kershaw, Dodgers top Padres

The Padres scored three runs off of Clayton Kershaw but that wasn't enough. The Dodgers pushed nine across and beat the Friars 9-4 on Monday night at Chavez Ravine.

Kershaw struck out eight over eight innings and improved his record to a MLB-best 18-3. Only one of the three runs scored against him was earned. Odrisamer Despaigne took the loss for the Padres. He's now 3-6 on the year.

The Padres have now lost six in a row. The Dodgers have won four straight and at 20-games over .500 lead the NL West by three and a half games over the Giants.
