The Chargers released 23 players on Saturday afternoon. Here's the list::
It's interesting for a few reasons. One, the release of four wide receivers means there are only four wideouts on the roster (Legedu Naanee, Malcom Floyd, Buster Davis and Patrick Crayton). The Bolts also kept an extra defensive back, leading me to believe something else is up. That something else could very well be the addition of another wideout, possibly T.J. Houshmandzadeh, who was released by the Seahawks.
There are rumors flying around that the Chargers and Seahawks have been trying to work out a deal, or a pair of deals, to get Houshmandzadeh down here and Vincent Jackson up to Seattle. Keep your eyes peeled for that possible development.
