They looked like your average middle school students heading out for a trip -- with iPods and cell phones in hand -- but this was no average trip.
The Park View Little League team headed to Los Angeles with their families on Thursday to appear on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.
Reporter Steven Luke tagged along on the bus ride and said the boys were joking around and laughing, talking on cell phones and even doing radio interviews during the bus trip. They were also carrying their uniforms and cleats to wear on the show.
Luke asked one of the boys if they knew who hosted The Tonight Show and they weren’t too sure, which isn’t surprising since it’s on TV so late. But the parents knew and were extremely excited. One father said he’s a lifelong fan of The Tonight Show and is thrilled to see it in person.
The boys will star on The Tonight Show Thursday night at 11.35 p.m. along with Sandra Bullock and Gina Yashmere.
