Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman stopped in La Jolla Sunday on a fundraising tour that included Los Angeles and Newport Beach.
The event, a two-hour reception, is the candidate's first visit to San Diego since declaring his candidacy.
A campaign spokesperson told NBCSanDiego that Huntsman would not be made available to the media at the event.
Huntsman has two other events scheduled Monday that include a 30 minute reception at The Jonathan Club in downtown Los Angeles and an hourlong reception at The Island Hotel in Newport Beach.
Huntsman joined the presidential race June 21 with an event using the Statue of Liberty as a backdrop.
