Bobby Jindal Slams ‘Narcissist' Trump as Trump Grabs 32 Percent in New CNN Poll

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal hurled a series of attacks at Donald Trump Thursday, calling the GOP rival an "egomaniacal madman" with no principles who risks costing the party its chance to regain the White House.

"We can make America great again," Jindal said, playing off of Trump's campaign slogan. "But we will not do that by putting an unserious and unstable narcissist in the White House."

Jindal, whose presidential campaign has barely made a ripple in the polls as the Republican front-runner dominates news coverage with his uninhibited attacks on immigrants, women and the White House, aimed for Trump Thursday during a speech to the National Press Club in Washington.

"The Donald Trump act is great, and the idea of Donald Trump is great — but the reality of Donald Trump is absurd, he’s a non-serious carnival act," Jindal said.

The two-term governor also attacked Trump's political inexperience, saying it is "silly" to argue policy with Trump because he doesn't know what he is talking about and "lacks the intellectual curiosity to even learn."

"The silly summer season is over. It's time to get serious about saving our country," Jindal appealed. "It's time to send Donald Trump back to reality TV."

Jindal's attack on the real-estate mogul was likely an attempt at resuscitating his waning campaign, a move that has proven unsuccessful for other GOP candidates like former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Sen. Lindsey Graham.

A CNN/ORC Poll released Thursday found that Trump continues to hold a commanding lead in the national GOP race, garnering 32 percent of Republican voters’ support.

Jindal continued his assault on Trump on social media, posting a video to his Facebook account Thursday of the controversial candidate professing all of his “loves” throughout the campaign. The montage of clips, captioned “Classic narcissist,” ends with “Anchorman’s” absentminded weatherman Brick Tamland saying “I love lamp.”

Classic narcissist.
