Three San Diegans were injured in a serious accident on U.S. Route 395 near Barstow on Friday.

According the California Highway Patrol, Maureen Fisher was driving northbound in a 2005 Honda Odyssey when an SUV passed them on the left. An oncoming 2007 Toyota Scion swerved to miss the SUV and collided head-on with the Odyssey. The driver of the Scion, a 23-year old man, was killed.

All three people in the Odyssey – Fisher, 50 and her two passengers an 18-year-old and a 14-year-old – were injured and transported to area hospitals.

The driver of the SUV did not stop, according to the CHP. The 23-year old driver has not yet been identified.
