    A man flagged down a taxi driver on Garnet Avenue. When they got to Emerald and Morrell, the suspect used his gun to demand the driver's belongings.

    San Diego police are asking for the public’s help to identify the man wanted in a violent robbery in Pacific Beach.

    The suspect flagged down a taxi in the 1600-block of Garnet Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

    When the taxi arrived at Emerald and Morrell, the suspect used his gun to demand the driver's belongings.

    He got away with the victim's wallet, cash and cell phone.

    Police are looking for a man in his early 20s, about 5-foot-9 with an athletic build.
