Suspect Sought in Taxi Cab Robbery

Police are looking for the suspect in a violent taxi cab robbery in Pacific Beach early Monday. NBC 7's Brandi Powell reports.

San Diego police are asking for the public’s help to identify the man wanted in a violent robbery in Pacific Beach.

The suspect flagged down a taxi in the 1600-block of Garnet Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

When the taxi arrived at Emerald and Morrell, the suspect used his gun to demand the driver's belongings.

He got away with the victim's wallet, cash and cell phone.

Police are looking for a man in his early 20s, about 5-foot-9 with an athletic build.

No one was injured.
