Over 5,000 customers were without power in the National City area Wednesday afternoon.
The power outage started just before 1 p.m., according to San Diego Gas and Electric.
The communities of National City, Paradise Hills, Skyline and Bay Terraces were affected.
By 3:30 p.m., most of the customers had power back. The 400 people without power should have it restored by 7 p.m.
