Pot Clinic Owner Admits Manufacturing Marijuana

The ex-owner of a medical marijuana dispensary in San Diego County has pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge.

James Stacy entered the plea Tuesday to a charge of manufacturing pot.

Under the plea deal, eight other charges will be dropped and prosecutors will recommend that Stacy be sentenced to three years of probation, according to the North County Times.

Stacy ran a now-defunct medical marijuana store in Vista. It was one of 14 in the county that local and federal authorities raided last year.

Thirty people were arrested in the raids but local prosecutors charged only one person and federal prosecutors charged two.
